Werribee Park

Werribee Park

10 hectares of open parkland and superbly manicured formal gardens surround Werribee Mansion.

The gardens are widely attributed to W.R Guilfoyle, Curator of the Melbourne Botanic Gardens. His vision borrows from 19th century gardens of Great Britain and his legacy remains today in the form of a parterre garden, lake, grotto and glasshouses.

A recent addition to the grounds is the Werribee Park Sculpture Walk. Winding through the original farm and riverine, the Sculpture Walk features 29 works by Australia's leading sculptors, including selected winners of the national Helen Lempriere Sculpture Award.

Stroll through 10 hectares of beautiful formal gardens and open space park land. Visit the original farm buildings, grotto and laundry, the European inspired parterre or find a spot to relax or picnic on the banks of Werribee River.
