You will find an amazing array of animals living on 225 hectares of wide, open savannah.
African Trail - Stroll through the Zoo at your own speed, spotting lions, hippos, cheetahs, monkeys, gorillas and more
Australian Trail - Step into the beautiful outback and spot Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Emus, Southern Koalas, Tammar Wallabies and other native animals. Stroll through bush and grasslands along the banks of the Werribee River, learning about our unique ecosystem. You'll see birds, reptiles, mammals and more, and pass the old Chirnside Woolshed. Just watch out for drop bears!
Safari - No trip to the Zoo is complete without heading out on safari across grassy plains where you will find Waterbuck, American Bison, Asian Wild Horse, Blackbuck, Camel, Eland, Giraffe, Nyala, Ostrich, Plains Zebra, Scimitar-horned Oryx, Southern White Rhinoceros (+ southern white rhino calf Jabulani) on the picturesque savannah.
All of the above, including the 40-minute safari tour, is included in the Zoo admission price. For those looking for even more adventure, why not try one of the behind-the-scenes Wild Encounters? Feed a giraffe, stroke a serval, see amazing animals on the savannah from an open vehicle, and, in the new Gorilla Behind the Scenes encounter, get up close and personal with three gorilla bachelors!
