Junior Safari
An energetic 35-minute safari bus tour for young children and their families. The tours feature music and lots of animal action.
Price: Included in general admission price. No pre-booking required. Please arrive at the Zoo early to ensure a seat on the bus.

Ranger Kids
In this amazing adventure-filled space, kids can transform themselves by dressing up as wildlife rangers, vets and even a Leopard Tortoise.
Price: Included in general admission price. No pre-booking required.

Village Kids
Run like a Zebra or prowl like a Wild Dog in the outdoor adventure play space, Village Kids. Little explorers will have a blast navigating their way through this nature-inspired space, making it up to the look-out for a bird's eye view.

Village Dance Party
Tiny tots and the young at heart can dance, sing and laugh in the Zoo's highly interactive musical dance theatre. Special zoo songs, written by Melbourne musician Lamine Sonko, encourage children to play bongos, wiggle hips, stamp feet and 'call animals to water'.
Price: Included in general admission price (main African Safari Hut, near zoo entrance), no bookings required.

Outdoor play spaces
Little adventurers will love searching for fossils (or hidden treasure) in our sandy dig pit and swinging from tree to tree at Monkey Rope Play.
In summer Hippo Water Play provides hours of fun, with bathers or a change of clothes recommended!

HOW TO GET HERE
Werribee Open Range Zoo is located 35 kilometres west of Melbourne's city centre on the Princes Freeway.
Travelling by car
From the CBD
It is a short 30-minute drive from the city over the Westgate Bridge or via the Geelong Road. (Take the Werribee South exit to K Road.) The Zoo is also en route to the Great Ocean Road and is a major attraction on the Great Southern Touring Route and the Bay Tour.
From Avalon Airport
If you're driving from Avalon Airport, take the M1 towards Melbourne Airport/Melbourne. It takes around 25 minutes to get to Werribee Open Range Zoo.
Travelling by public transport
From Melbourne
Catch a train from the Melbourne CBD to Werribee station (travelling on the Werribee Line).
From Werribee station catch Bus 439 Werribee South to the Zoo.
From Geelong
Catch a train from Geelong to Wyndham Vale station (travelling towards Melbourne).
From Wyndham Vale station catch the Bus 190 Werribee Station to Werribee station.
From Werribee station catch Bus 439 Werribee South to the Zoo.

The SkyBus shuttle from Avalon Airport
SkyBus Avalon City Express runs between Avalon Airport and Werribee town centre. Then you can just catch a local public bus to the Zoo. SkyBus meets every major flight arriving and departing Avalon Airport. There's no need to book.
