Restaurant Igni |
Ignis; Latin for fire.
At the heart of our kitchen stands a wood-fired grill, which has influence over each dish in our surprise set-course menu. We focus on goods sourced from some of our favourite producers and friends.
You can find us in Ryan Place, a back alley within Geelong's CBD. We have had the great pleasure of looking after our guests since January of 2016.
Two-hatted diner, Restaurant Igni, is a mandatory inclusion in any best restaurant Geelong discussion.
The elevated diner which is centred around a wood-fired grill kitchen provides a distinctive flare to the ever-changing menu of seasonally-driven dishes. Owner and chef Aaron Turner's fire-driven style of cooking has given Igni immense clout in Victoria's culinary community and the six-course menu here will show you why.
IGNI is in the heart of CBD Geelong, an hour's drive south-west of Melbourne.
We are perfectly positioned between the iconic Surf Coast; start of The Great Ocean Road, the charming Bellarine Peninsula, the rolling hills of rural western Victoria, and the lush Otways. We're surrounded by vineyards, amazing produce, and coastline.
You can catch a ferry on foot from the Geelong waterfront or with your car from historical Queenscliff.
Catch the Train down to central Geelong or suburban South Geelong stations, both 15 minutes walk away.
We're also 20 minutes drive from Avalon airport for those travelling from further afield.
