Ceres Homestead

Ceres Homestead

Located in Central Victoria 90 minutes from Melbourne

Ceres Homestead is an elegant estate in regional Victoria that serves as a symbol of the rich history and culture of Australia.

As you enter the grounds of Ceres Homestead, you are transported to a bygone era.

A moment in time that is represented by the remnants of the steadfast buildings, their architecture and their functionality.

The surrounds of her are unique, majestic and romantic.

Subtly encompassing you, surrounding with elements of history, age and timeless beauty.

The Garden at Ceres.

The garden surrounding the Homestead is a beautiful, formal English hedged garden. Surrounded by specimen and old English and French treescapes, the plantings are approximately 160 years old. With the canvas of age and beauty, garden designer Michael McCoy has sympathetically redesigned, in part, the remnant garden. The garden holds many specimen plantings, similar to plantings in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens. These gardens were planted at the same time.

Today the garden is the feature view from any window in the Homestead, with formal hedging including English Box, Privet, Portuguese Laurel, Japonica. Surrounded by Oaks, Elms, Cedars, Redwood, Bunya Bunya, Pines to name name but a few.
