Belmont Food Swap

Belmont Food SwapBelmont Food Swap

Come along to the Belmont Food Swap, second Saturday of the month at South Barwon Community Centre. Swap your excess home-grown produce from 9.30am-10am or buy fresh and locally grown fruit and vegetables from 10am-11am.

- Do you grow your own food?
- Have an excess of fruit or garden produce going to waste?
- Do you have time / skills in drying or preserving?
- Want to save even more on your grocery bills?

A foodswap is a great way of connecting people who have created abundance.

The items you bring are placed on a table, and you simply take what you think is a fair swap for the items that you brought. For swappers, its completely free, and there is often a great array of quality produce to choose from.

9:30am - 10am swapping only
10am - 11am sale by donation

Those who bring items to swap get the pick of the best produce (9:30-10am), but after 10, we encourage anyone in the community to attend and take some great local foods for just a donation - a great way of getting some cheap herb, veggies, plants & more. The donations go towards hosting and promoting the swap.

We are not yet setup for individuals selling their produce directly, but if you are interested in this, please contact us.

Bring as little, or as much as you like.

Anything home grown, or home made is welcome, some examples of whats been available at previous swaps:
-:- Spare seeds & seedlings,
-:- Jams & preserves, home-made sauces etc
-:- Dried & Fresh herbs
-:- Leafy greens & seasonal veggies
-:- Citrus & seasonal fruits
-:- Honey, eggs & much more
